A Day Off Road

What beautiful sunrises and sunsets we have here in Borrego Springs, CA

And happy, tired dogs after their romps in the desert

Costa's hummingbirds

A quirky site in the middle of nowhere, an encampment of sorts

with lots of stone paths, a campfire site, American flag and USA sign.  Leslie added the Peace sign.

The nest of a little desert bird called a verdin

In the afternoon, while Susan was in class, Leslie and I walked up Palm Canyon

It rained last week, and the desert is coming to life just these few days later, with blossoms, new leaves, blades of grass peeking up

And to our delight, we began to see the Peninsular Bighorn sheep on the hillside.
Look closely.

There he is!

The sheep moved out of sight, and we moved on down the mountain.........

and into the valley, home for dinner, and a good night's sleep!
