In our campground in Lee Vining, three deer came to graze each morning, one female and two young male mule deer.
Anna eyed them, and they eyed her, and us, but hung out anyway for 30 minutes munching.
At lunch at Convict Lake, checking out the wedding venue for Martha and Josh, we were entertained by a magpie, quite happy to be completely spoiled by human food (no, we did not feed him!).
At the Hot Creek geothermal area, this second dragonfly was sunning himself, not minding that my camera was two inches from his face.
And then there's the delightful Anna, our "velcro" dog, always by our side.
There have been red tail hawks, cranky and scolding scrub jays pecking holes in food bags, coyotes howling at night, this osprey in her nest in the south tufa area of Mono Lake, and pan-size trout in crystal clear waters, teasing us about not having fishing gear along with us.
What a wonderful world!
So, Anna didn't seem to want to go after the deer? Good girl, Anna! I am thrilled that you are getting such amazing pictures! I love nature! The dragonflies are just amazing creatures! Love them!
ReplyDeleteWhat's wrong with you girls? Fishing gear on a cross country trip in a camper is a M.U.S.T.!! :)
I know, aren't we slackers!
