Perched on the metal cable railingover the geothermal area in Mammoth
was this dragonfly.
She let me hang out with her while
she had lunch....a bumblebee.
As I watched, she drew the bee in, and this photo caught the tail end (literally) of her lunch.

Awesome picture of the dragonfly eating the bumblebee! You always get the neatest pictures! I would have been scared for you had I known you were in the middle of nowhere without ANY means of communication!!! That must have been an awesome adventure in any case! Isn't the night skies absolutely beautiful without city lights? Catch you on the next stop!
