This segment of our journey took us from our night's rest (sort of) by the railroad tracks at Mac's Edgewood campground, south down Hwy 35, the north shore of Lake Michigan, and past Green Bay.
Silly me, I thought Green Bay was only a city, not a very beautiful and very large body of water! It's clear I need to get out more!

Our favorite sign so far of the whole trip!
And for the night, the home of our friends John and Karen, and as mentioned earlier a fabulous Chinese/Thai dinner with the whole family, and a good night’s rest.
Not just farms, but wind farms!
Our lucky day! Even if it wasn’t a slot machine in Reno!
Our nation moves its goods by semi. Semi after semi after semi. I counted for one minute the number of semis that came down the oncoming highway: 22!
And have never seen raindrops as large in my life as the ones that came in a deluge outside of Green Bay (the town this time, not the body of water). Unhappy driving, but the Subaru and the trailer performed pretty well. We’re here writing about it as testimony to our safety.
As we approached Chicago, yes, it was still raining.
Actually, it rained in Minnesota, Ontario, (Canada) Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Pittsburg and Erie Pennsylvania. The clouds hang low, are dark, the rain comes with blinding force.
After our night in Chicago, our journey took us into Ohio, past barrns with quilt designs, lots of yards with these type of cow statues. No garden elves. Cows. Really.
The next blogs are the 'dead people' section. Searching for ancestors.
